About North East LinkThe Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads. About the OpportunityThe North East Link Central Package are currently recruiting for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our TBM Tunnels team. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who can support and drive HSE culture on site while providing support and coordination of safety and environmental practices, systems, and procedures on the project.This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career on Victoria’s largest Infrastructure project and leave a lasting legacy for the city of Melbourne for years to come. Please note, this is a full-time salary-based role and will be required to work a 7/3 7/4 roster (work 7 nights followed by 3 days off, work 7 days followed by 4 days off). This role will be accountable for:  Developing processes, implementing, and monitoring programs to provide a safe working environment for all personnelConducting health and safety audits and inspections as per audit schedules and risk profile of the worksSupport delivery team and ensure compliance to the project construction documentation processes; provide specialist advice during its development and monitor implementation in the fieldUndertake regular safety monitoring activities, ensuring compliance to safety management systems, contractor agreements and contracts, relevant legislation, and business requirements.
