Position Overview:

The Safety Manager will help to ensure everyone in the company complies with occupational health and safety laws and is responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe work environment. The Safety Manager seeks out opportunities to improve working conditions and execute safety programs. This person must be able to communicate guidelines to a multi-disciplinary workforce is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the production team to create a safe working environment and prevent injuries
• Develop and execute health and safety plans and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
• Prepare and help enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Conducts post-accident investigation, safety surveys and inspections, and prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Reports on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics
• Set up and conducts safety trainings and drills
• Develop, evaluate, and improve our safety programs
• Support and partner with the Facilities team
• Work with Cimpress Indirect procurement teams to identify cost saving and improvement projects
• Work with Cimpress Sustainability teams to make BuildASign a greener company

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years experience as a Safety Manager or Safety Technician in a Manufacturing Plant
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Certifications
• Proficient technology skills e.g. Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, Excel, NetSuite
• This position is onsite in Austin, TX
