Summary:

The Safety and Fleet Manager ensures the compliance of health and safety laws in the workplace as well as effectively manages a fleet of approximately 150 company-owned vehicles. This individual will develop and execute health and safety plans, enforce policies, assess risks, and promote a culture of safety.

Essential Functions:

• Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures according to state and federal guidelines
• Advise the company's administrative team on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations
• Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
• Conduct monthly safety meetings
• Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines
• Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment
• Schedule maintenance on vehicles, assure compliance with driving regulations, and ensure proper training is provided to all drivers.
• Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
• Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to maintenance and proper driving practices
• Perform other duties as required by management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a safety/ fleet manager
• Expert knowledge of OSHA programs and regulations, best driving practices, vehicle maintenance, and other industry practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient use in Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent motivational, time management, & organizational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
• Ability to pass a drug screen, MVR, and 7-year background check
• Legally able to work in the United States
