Safety Consultant

IntroductionVisium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Safety Consultant position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site for a duration of 18 Months.The Construction Safety position serves as the key technical resource and is responsible for the implementation and sustainment of key safety programs for their designated businesses. Exceptional candidates will have a proven track record of independently driving above average incident reduction results achieved through the implementation of targeted safety strategies and tactics. This role is required to use sound technical judgment to assess, analyze, identify and solve a broad spectrum of safety issues across a diverse group of company's businesses. Operations include manufacturing, production, warehouse, food and beverage, lodging, construction, maintenance, custodial, horticulture and entertainment/theatrical. The role will be required to drive results by guiding implementation of safety programs, evaluate safety performance, and identify opportunities to continuously improve safety performance. Qualified candidates would have the following:Required:-Must be knowledgeable of applicable safety standards. -Required to develop strong relationships and work as part of a team within a fast paced, matrix-style environment with all level's of employees.-The role requires flexibility to modify one's schedule to accommodate work as required. -Required to partner with Safety Services Employees to effectively communicate safety concerns, issues, and best practices. -Standing and walking for 8 or more hours; working in inclement weather; wearing appropriate personal protective equipment; lifting/carrying; climbing steps; ladders; and scaffolds. -Exceptional candidates will have a proven track record of independently driving above average incident reduction results achieved through the implementation of targeted safety strategies and tactics.
