Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Coordinator with experience in construction safety, ideally on Intel sites in Chandler, AZ. This role will be crucial in ensuring all safety standards and protocols are maintained and that every worker on site operates within the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental regulations. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with our Safety Manager and the construction team to maintain compliance with local, state, and client-specific requirements, contributing to a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance and Monitoring: Enforce and monitor compliance with safety regulations and site-specific standards, particularly Intel’s health and safety requirements.

Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments, documenting and addressing any deficiencies.

Incident Reporting and Investigation: Oversee the investigation of incidents, near misses, and safety violations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices, with a strong emphasis on Intel’s policies.

Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, training logs, and safety checklists. Ensure all documentation aligns with Intel and OSHA standards.

Collaboration: Coordinate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and the Intel safety team to maintain an integrated approach to site safety.

Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and ensure readiness in case of on-site emergencies.

Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement safety enhancements based on observations, data analysis, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:

Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field . OSHA 30-Hour Certification required; additional safety certifications (e.g., CHST, ASP, CSP) are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a safety role within the construction industry, preferably with experience on Intel sites in Chandler, AZ.

Knowledge: Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and Intel’s safety standards, including site-specific protocols.

Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with safety management software.

Other: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
