About the Position:
We are seeking a seasoned Safety Manager to join our client’s team in Madison, WI. The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety programs on large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, identifying potential hazards, and proactively mitigating risks through training, inspections, incident investigations, and close collaboration with project teams. Worker safety and promoting a culture of safety excellence will be paramount.
Responsibilities:
Developing, cultivating, and promoting a company-wide culture of safety
Implementing policies and procedures that are in compliance with regulatory requirements
Training and educating all team members and stakeholders in safety best practices
Maintaining regulatory compliance through site inspections, audits, and assessments
Investigating any safety-related incidents that may occur
Requirements:
5+ years of project management experience in the construction industry
A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related discipline, or commensurate experience
Strong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skills
In-depth knowledge of industry safety standards (OSHA, DOT, etc.)
The ability to effectively train and educate team members
