Safety Officer (Emirati National)

Our client, a large manufacturing company, is seeking a SafetyOfficer to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role you need to make sure thatthe EHSMS procedures and government regulations are being implemented in thefacility and to make sure that all the employees are aware of the Safe workprocedures and Environmental aspects and follow adequately. Other duties andresponsibilities would include but not limited to:Take part in workplace discussions on injury, health and welfare and damage controlAssist in conducting incident investigations analysisAssist in the preparation of incident reports and summariesReport all the near missesGive First aid to the Injured employee and organize to send to Hospital and monitor if any major issue report to the Section Head for further actionsConduct daily safety walk and identify the Safety and Environmental Hazards, High light the issues and follow up on corrective actionsEnsure safety signs are visible in correct areas throughout the companyAssist in conducting any Training by Safety teamLiaise with external vendors in order to do the regular maintenance for the Firefighting / Fire Alarm systems and Chemical waste water clearanceLiaise with external people for Pest control and othersMake the necessary work permits wherever neededAssist in the administering of safety programsResearch and conduct regular Toolbox TalksCheck and ensure that the first aid boxes are free from expired medicines and refilled as and when required throughoutCheck and maintain fire extinguishers and ensure all certifications are up-to-dateHelp to organize for Fire Drills and report the resultsCreate and submit all relevant reportsPerform other related duties as required by the line manager.
