Safety Officer Professional Level (จป.วิชาชีพ)
Job DescriptionAs the Safety Officer, your key responsibility is to uphold safety laws and regulations in Thailand, create a safe work environment, and prevent job-related incidents at the hotel/resort. This includes conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and executing preventive measures. You will train and inspire team members to follow our company's occupational health and safety protocols. You'll be responsible for investigating work-related incidents and injuries, providing comprehensive reports, and suggesting preventative actions. Additional duties involve gathering safety statistics, preparing reports, and carrying out other safety tasks as delegated by the Security Manager.Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Minor Hotels team members always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to: Inspect and recommend actions to comply with the laws on safety, occupational health, and the work environment. Analyze work to identify hazards, recommend preventive measures, and implement safe work procedures in the organization. Assess Occupational Health, safety and Work Environment risks. Analyze work plans or projects and recommend occupational health and safety measures to management based on recommendations from various departments. Educate and drive employees to follow the company's occupational health and safety manual. Ensure that employees comply with regulations and manuals on occupational health, safety, and the work environment of the company. Advocate and drive training of employees on work health and safety to ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential hazards. Measure and evaluate the work environment risks and/or collaborate with individuals or legal entities registered or licensed to do so in accordance with the law on Occupational Health, Safety and Work Environment, or other relevant laws. Take accountability to assist the company to implement appropriate occupational health and safety management procedures in the workplace and continuously develop these to ensure effectiveness. Investigate the causes of injuries, illnesses, or work-related incidents and promptly report the inspection results to the company’s management, along with suggestions for preventing future incidents. Collect statistics, prepare reports, and provide recommendations on work-related hazards, illnesses, or incidents to the company’s management. Ensure onboarding of new employees on occupational and environmental illnesses/risks before commencing work and during work, with periodic knowledge reviews at least once a year. Perform other safety-related tasks as assigned by the company. QualificationsThai nationality Minimum two (2) years experience as Safety Officer at the Professional Level or any of the professional level occupational safety officer qualifications approved by the Ministry of Labor in accordance with B.E. 2565 (2022), Article 21 Knowledge of Thailand Health and Safety Regulations Knowledge of Hotel Business Excellent training and communication skills (Thai & English) Ability to write and maintain Safety Manual and Occupational Safety Standard Operating ProceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
