SAFETY OFFICER FOR SAUDI ARABIA

Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced   Safety Officer   for an   Oil & Gas   project in   Saudi Arabia . The ideal candidate should have a strong background in   health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards   with at least   5+ years of experience   in the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with   Saudi Arabian safety regulations   and   international HSE standards   (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001). Conduct   risk assessments   and   job hazard analyses (JHA)   to identify workplace hazards. Develop and implement   safety policies, procedures, and training programs . Monitor and enforce   Permit to Work (PTW) systems   for hazardous activities. Conduct   site safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations , reporting findings and recommending corrective actions. Provide   safety inductions and toolbox talks   to workers, ensuring awareness of job-specific risks. Coordinate with   site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors   to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure the proper use of   Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)   and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain records of   accidents, near-misses, and safety violations , implementing preventive measures. Requirements Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma   in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. NEBOSH IGC Certification (Mandatory). IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification   (Preferred). Minimum   5+ years of experience   in the Oil & Gas sector (Gulf experience preferred). Familiarity with   Saudi labor laws, HSE regulations, and Aramco safety standards . Strong knowledge of   fire prevention, hazardous material handling, and emergency response . Excellent   communication and leadership skills . Ability to work under pressure and handle   multiple safety tasks on-site .
