POSITION SUMMARY:
Safety Training Coordinator is responsible for ongoing training of Bus and Van Drivers, must demonstrate and teach safety skills by performing the following duties.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for keeping all training material current and implementing or proposing new training material.
- Maintain roster for all employee training, roster should be turned in to the Safety Director weekly.
- Training should be performed when needed or requested.
- Assists in conducting daily, weekly, and monthly safety audits by gathering and auditing logs, fuel receipts, pre/post inspections along with other required documents. This includes Motor Coach Drivers and Van Drivers when needed.
- Auditing driver logs with required documentation shall be in accordance with the GPS report that is printed out upon every driver's arrival.
- Logs will be audited for form and manner violations, hours of service violations, grid and recap violations and log falsification (FMCSA 49 CFR PART 395).
- Audit 10/15/70 hour rule daily in accordance with the sleeper berth and off-duty time.
- Trains drivers on how to properly perform a Pre/Post trip on units.
- Trains drivers on Electronic Logging Devices.
- Troubleshoot Electronic devices, dash cams.
- Trains drivers on English language related to operating a CMV.
- Responsible for inspecting units before departure.
