Purpose of Position:

The Safety Upgrade Program Manager is responsible for leading a strategic initiative to drive customer adoption and maximize market share of our latest safety solutions. This role will ensure the successful transition of existing customers from legacy systems to modern systems, managing a prioritized schedule of account upgrades, tracking feature release timelines, and overseeing quality and issue resolution for the new system. With a focus on achieving high adoption and satisfaction rates, this role will work cross-functionally to align product, sales, and customer support teams, delivering a seamless upgrade experience for our customers.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Upgrade Program Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement an upgrade program focused on migrating customers from legacy safety solutions to modern, upgraded safety systems.
  • Manage a prioritized account schedule for upgrades, aligning with growth targets and market needs.
  • Collaborate with product teams to track and communicate release schedules, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and readiness for new features.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for upgrade success, customer satisfaction, and adoption rates.

Sales Cycle Management for Upgrades

  • Support the sales team in navigating the upgrade cycle for priority accounts, providing resources and tracking progress against upgrade targets.
  • Collaborate with Sales to maintain visibility into the upgrade pipeline and report on upgrade cycle milestones.
  • Work with sales and customer success teams to proactively address customer concerns, ensuring a smooth transition for safety upgrades.

Adoption Monitoring & Quality Management

  • Monitor customer adoption of safety product upgrades, identifying trends, tracking usage metrics, and gathering feedback to support ongoing product improvements.
  • Establish a quality management system for safety product upgrades, including tracking and resolving issues, documenting recurring challenges, and facilitating feedback loops with product and support teams.
  • Oversee issue escalation and resolution processes, ensuring quick response times and customer satisfaction for safety product upgrade users.
  • Conduct regular reviews of adoption rates, issue resolution performance, and customer feedback to refine program tactics.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as the central point of contact for safety product upgrade initiatives, ensuring alignment between product, sales, support, and marketing teams.
  • Facilitate regular program status updates for executive stakeholders, providing clear insights into program progress, challenges, and market impact.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to develop targeted resources and training materials that support the upgrade experience.

Primary Partners and Stakeholders

This role will only be successful if they are able to coordinate across a variety of stakeholders to manage expectations, drive transparency and alignment, and facilitate decision making. The primary people this role will work with are:

  • Executive Leadership: Division President, Regional VPs, SVP of Product, CFO
  • Product Leadership: Head of Support, Head of Product, Technical Sales, Customer Success, Product Specialists
  • Commercial Leadership: Sales Directors, Service and Support Directors
  • Engineering and Product Development: Engineering Management, QA Management, Project Management

Knowledge and Experience - Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, product management, or sales enablement, ideally within technology or industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing complex upgrade or adoption programs, with experience in feature release coordination and product adoption tracking.
  • Strong familiarity with product lifecycle management and working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Salesforce, Asana).
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with experience in monitoring KPIs and resolving product quality issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and effectively communicate with customers.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to driving successful program outcomes.

Knowledge and Experience - :

  • Experience in the mining industry and with mining safety systems
  • Experience managing towards or meeting a sales quota or target

Travel:

  • This position is primarily remote but may require travel up to 50% of the time including travel to Hexagon office sites globally and client sites.
