An ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of HVAC products and technologies for OEM, industrial industries, a passion for building relationships, be highly collaborative, and know how to seek out and develop new opportunities within the OEM industry based on personal business experience.

As a Key Account Sales Engineer for OEM, Industrial, you will play a vital role in the company’s growth and profitability by developing sales opportunities for the company's engineered solutions. As an OEM, Industrial Sales engineer, you will be responsible for achieving sales growth and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a hungry individual with a competitive spirit looking to maximize results for the organization and for their own earning potential. This position is a hunter role, and the candidate must prospect, develop, and maintain current book of business and relationships.

Due to the technical nature of the products sold, this position requires a professional who can drive new applications of engineered products into specific accounts and markets; not just sell against existing suppliers in existing applications.

Success will simply be measured by meeting and exceeding budget objectives around existing and new growth.

Responsibilities not limited to:

  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze financial metrics, extrapolate practical projections and recommendations. Must be able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate OEM performance and identify new business opportunities.
  •  Negotiation: Ability to communicate and deliver a value proposition; representative relevant deals and deliver a win-win solution for the company and the customer.
  • Project Management: The ability to manage your task flow and complete assignments on time as needed with the support of the team.
  • Prepare and present bids and quotations to OEM customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment.
  • Communication: Deliver written and oral communications effectively, often in a group setting via Teams. Successfully build relationships with current customer base and provide necessary sales support.
  • Client-driven: Demonstrates through action, that customers are the highest priority. Anticipates and delivers to customer expectations with integrity and a sense of urgency. Explains capabilities and services.
  • Advise customers on the proper selection, use, and maintenance of specific technology applications, and recommend training opportunities offered.
  • Business Savvy: An independent, methodical thinker who is disciplined and exhibits a strong understanding of the business, its trends, customers, our competitive environment, and other key metrics. Effectively uses data to craft sound business strategy. Comfortably operates independently but with regular reporting cadence.

  • Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.
  • An initiative thinker with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, multi-task, and work across a range of sectors.
  • A collaborator mentality that can also work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, presentation, and communication skills (written and oral).

Education & Experience :

  • BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent through relevant work experience
  • 2-10 years of relevant experience.
