Job Overview:

The Sales Engineer’s primary function is to identify new opportunities and cultivate relationships with current customers, scout new prospects, promote the company products directly through customer visits and trade shows, provide technical assistance regarding products, and assist production planning by providing sales forecast. To be successful in this role, one needs to interact closely with internal as well as external customers on a regular basis. The Sales Engineer will need to apply product knowledge, market intelligence, technological advances and current legislation to help create our sales strategy.

Working environment and conditions:

Travel comprises 30-40% of duties, travel typically 25% This salaried position is eligible for the company sponsored benefits program including: medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, long-term , paid holidays (11 plus your birthday) and paid time off (PTO).

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Identify and develop new potential customers

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with the companys existing customers

· Advocate for customer inside the company to ensure their voice is heard

· Provide leadership for customer’s new custom products

· Promote the products directly through customer visits and trade shows

· Apply knowledge of the products and market analysis to create sales strategy

· Assist production planning by providing sales forecast

· Provide prompt and continuous follow-up with customers

· Support marketing team- trade shows, publications, conferences

Qualifications

· 5 years prior outside sales experience

· Be self-driven yet function as a team member

· General understanding of common refrigeration applications, CO2 technology a plus

· Basic project management with understanding of team dynamics

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to travel overnight/ multi-day trip

· Microsoft Office
