Futures are supporting a Lighting Controls business as it launches a new product range into the UK and EU Commercial Lighting markets. The business will be continuing the expansion of an existing Lighting Controls manufacturer with a long trading history overseas. The business has won numerous high profile commercial contracts producing highly reliable and flexible lighting control systems, using open protocol controls and APIs to offer maximum flexibility, compatibility and performance.\n\nWe’re seeking a UK and European Sales Manager with a proven track record in Lighting Industry sales.

You will understand the various potential routes to market for commercial lighting controls, having supplied similar solutions into the commercial property sector, public sector, entertainment industry, industrial and civil engineering sectors. You can also engage with Mechanical / Electrical Contractors, LED / Lighting Manufacturers and M&E Design Consultancies.\n\nWe are seeking a consultative sales manager with a technical understanding of the lighting industry, who can support businesses with a solutions based sales approach. You’ll be supported by an established engineering and sales support team in the Midlands, working remotely to engage with potential customers across the UK and Europe.\n\nSales Manager - Key responsibilities - Business Development Manager, Lighting Controls, Electronics, New Business, Commercial\n\nIncrease sales by identifying and cultivating new customers in the lighting controls industry.\nDevelop a strategic sales plan for the business which will align closely to the company’s growth plans and capability.\nDemonstrate regular outbound promotional activities, consistent engagement with key decision makers in relevant industry sectors, regular face to face presentations of company capability.

You will be delivering consistent, consultative, solutions focus sales activities.\nFoster and sustain strong relationships with existing clients and key industry stakeholders.\nPrepare precise and competitive quotations for lighting control projects.\nEngage in marketing initiatives to enhance the company's presence in the lighting sector including attendance at trade shows exhibitions and networking events.\nKeep detailed and up-to-date records of opportunities and customer interactions.\nDeliver clear and effective communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams.\nWork closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project handovers and successful execution.\nProvide regular project updates while delivering outstanding customer service.\nSales Manager - Skills and Experience - Business Development Manager, Lighting Controls, Electronics, New Business, Commercial\n\nEssential: Previous experience in sales within the lighting control systems industry.\nTrack Record: Proven success in sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.\nCommunication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with key decision-makers.\nTechnical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), good all round IT and Communication Skills\nProfessionalism: Well-presented, proactive, and highly organized in task management.\nTechnical Knowledge: An engineering background or expertise in lighting controls is a plus.\nWork Ethic: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.\nFlexibility: Willingness to travel nationwide, including occasional overnight stays.\nSales Manager, Business Development Manager, Lighting Controls, Electronics, New Business, Commercial\n\nThis is a great opportunity to become a significant stakeholder within this new Lighting Controls business. If you meet the requirements (by and large!) set out above, please do apply now
