Sales Manager, Solar Roof

The Account Manager Role on the Solar Roof Channel sales team is focused on growing existing and developing new accounts for Tesla's Solar Roof product with third party roofing and solar contractors (Certified Installers). Ideal candidate has a strong background in B2B sales and is experienced in selling value and technology. They will bring good knowledge of the solar and/or roofing markets in California and very strong set of relationships across the residential solar+storage and/or roofing sectors.

Responsibilities

Grow sales of the Solar Roof product including accessories like PowerWall and Wall Connector through existing and new Solar Roof Certified Installers in California


Meetings with the installers in person and virtually with business owners, leadership, sales teams & operations


Partner with distribution for fulfillment and new opportunities


Work with partners to help them consistently deliver high quality installations, great end-customer experience, and protect the Tesla brand


Work with Certified Installers (and occasionally their end customers) to identify new uses of Tesla's Solar Roof ecosystem and help quantify the business case


Understand regional energy markets, utilities, and jurisdictions


Collaborate with internal technical, product, policy, legal and other teams


Requirements

Demonstrated experience in developing B2B relationships and closing deals in energy and renewable energy markets


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


Proven record of outlier levels of success in the roofing or solar/renewable energy industry


Self-motivated with ability to proactively manage and organize sales pipeline


Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Strong presentation and demonstration skills

Expected Compensation

$120,080 - $120,080/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
