Position Summary:
As the Sales Operations & Enablement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our B2B sales team by equipping them with the tools, processes, and insights they need to succeed. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to grow revenue, improve sales efficiency, and maintain our competitive edge in the market.
Essential Functions:
- Sales Process Optimization:
Evaluate and refine sales processes to improve efficiency and ensure best practices are followed across the sales organization. - Sales Enablement:
Develop and deliver sales training programs, including onboarding for new hires and continuous development programs for the sales team. This includes knowledge of services, sales skills, and use of sales tools. - Sales Tools & Systems:
Manage the deployment, adoption, and optimization of CRM systems, sales automation platforms, and other sales tools. Work closely with the sales team to ensure tools are effectively used to drive productivity. - Reporting & Analytics:
Build and manage sales performance dashboards and provide actionable insights to leadership. Ensure data accuracy in sales reports and dashboards, and provide analysis on pipeline health, conversion rates, and sales trends. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with marketing, pricing and service teams to ensure alignment in strategy and execution. Help bridge gaps between departments to ensure a seamless experience for both sales and customers.
- Quota & Compensation Management:
Assist in the design and management of sales compensation plans, ensuring they are motivating and aligned with company objectives. Track and report on sales quota attainment. - Forecasting:
Support the sales leadership team in the development of accurate sales forecasts by providing historical data, trends, and insights into pipeline and opportunity management. - Process & Performance Improvement:
Identify and remove bottlenecks in the sales process by analyzing data and collaborating with sales leadership. Propose new initiatives and improvements to increase overall sales team performance. - Content Development & Management:
Partner with marketing to create and organize sales collateral, including playbooks, presentations, case studies, and other materials. Ensure that the sales team has access to the most up-to-date content for engaging prospects and closing deals. - Sales Strategy Support:
Support the commercial leadership team in strategic planning efforts, including market analysis, territory planning, and account segmentation strategies.
- Key Competencies for Success:
- Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, ZoomInfo, etc.).
- Proven track record of improving sales performance through operational efficiencies and enablement strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
- Experience in managing and improving CRM systems, with an eye for streamlining workflows and increasing adoption.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA .
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales enablement, or a related role within a B2B, sales-driven organization
- Prior Supply Chain, Logistics and/or CPG or packaging industry experience
- Environment/Physical Demands:
- This is primarily an office and/or home office environment. With some travel to customer offices and/or distribution centers
- Long periods of sitting
- Long periods of working on a computer
- Occasional standing, walking and bending
- Travel:
- Up to 15% based on business needs
