[What the role is]School of Engineering - Lecturer (Aerospace Engineering)[What you will be working on]• Develop curriculum and deliver lessons, primarily in the areas of Aircraft maintenance, Basic Aerodynamics, Aviation Legislation and Human Factors, as well as other Engineering disciplines.• Supervise students’ final year projects and internships and reach out to various stakeholders such as industry partners and universities.• Develop and conduct Continuing Education and Training (CET) lessons.• Take part in academic research projects, R&D/Implementation projects or consultancy to the industry.• Mentor and motivate students in their learning journey.• Involve in school activities such as service learning, outreach events and similar activities.• Undertake other administrative work related to the programme and student development activities.[What we are looking for]• Qualification in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.• At least 5 years of work experience in the aerospace MRO, with the following criteria(s):(i) hold, or have held an aircraft maintenance license (B1 or B2 category) issued by CAAS, or(ii) 5 years’ experience as an aircraft maintenance technician in the B1 or B2 Category and has passed CAAS SAR-66 basic examinations (relevant to the respective B1 or B2 Category), or   (iii) qualification in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, and has passed (or willing to take and pass) CAAS SAR-66 basic examinations (relevant to the respective B1 or B2 Category).• Proficient in developing curriculum and delivering lessons related to CAAS SAR-66 curriculum:- M2 Physics (For B1 Category)- M3 Electrical Fundamentals (For B2 Category)- M4 Electronic Fundamentals (For B2 Category)- M5 Digital Techniques / Electronic Instrument Systems (For B2 Category)- M6 Materials and Hardware (For B1/B2 Category)- M7 Maintenance Practices (For B1/B2 Category)- M8 Basic Aerodynamics (For B1/B2 Category)- M9 Human Factors (For B1/B2 Category)- M10 Aviation Legislation (For B1/B2 Category)- and other Engineering discipline modules• Genuine passion to share knowledge and interact with youths, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.• Excellent team player in collaborative settings.• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and in meeting deadlines• Strong industry linkages in the related fields.
