Sealines PSL1 Engineer

Overview:


The Sealines PSL1 Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for offshore oil and gas projects, with a particular focus on pipeline safety, integrity, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review engineering specifications, design documents, and procedures for sealine projects.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications during pipeline design and installation.

  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and technical review meetings to identify potential issues and propose solutions.

  • Support procurement processes by reviewing technical bids and liaising with vendors for equipment and materials.

  • Monitor pipeline installation activities, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and addressing any technical challenges on-site.

  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure that all materials and construction activities meet project quality requirements.

  • Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up of sealine systems.

  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and updates for project stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:

  • Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PIPENET) and pipeline integrity management tools.

  • Knowledge of offshore pipeline standards and regulations (e.g., DNV, API).

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sealine or subsea pipeline engineering, with a focus on offshore oil and gas projects.

Technical Knowledge:

  1. Pipeline Design and Installation: Proven experience in sealine design, analysis, installation, and maintenance, with a deep understanding of subsea pipeline engineering principles, flow assurance, and safety requirements.

  2. Project Management and Coordination: Ability to manage multiple aspects of pipeline projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and technical coordination among cross-functional teams.
