Security Infrastructure Engineer Nottingham, United Kingdom Permanent£50000 - £65000 per annum Security Infrastructure EngineerSeeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Infrastructure Engineer to join a succinct team and play a crucial role in protecting a corporate security landscape.About the Role:As a Security Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing robust security infrastructure across a number of datacenters. You'll work on various aspects of security layers, from endpoint security to web application firewalls, ensuring the highest level of protection across the organisation.Location: Nottingham - 2 days a weekKey Responsibilities:Manage and optimise endpoint security solutions, including EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response)Configure and maintain NDR (Network Detection and Response) systemsImplement and manage WAF (Web Application Firewall) solutionsSet up and fine-tune IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) and IDS (Intrusion Detection System)Perform Layer 7 hardening and manage application firewallsImplement bot protection and signature blocking mechanismsManage infrastructure security for Hyper-V and VMware environmentsConfigure and maintain email security solutions (Mimecast, Office 365)Oversee security configurations across the businessContribute to ongoing security projects and initiativesRequired Qualifications:Proven experience in corporate security infrastructure managementStrong knowledge of EDR, NDR, WAF, IPS, and IDS technologiesExpertise in Layer 7 security and application firewall managementExperience with bot protection and signature blockingProficiency in Hyper-V and VMware infrastructure securityFamiliarity with email security solutions (Mimecast, Office 365)Solid understanding of networking principles and infrastructureStrong project management and communication skillsDesired Qualifications:Experience with Azure cloud securityCertifications in relevant security domains (., CISSP, CEH, CCSP)Knowledge of compliance frameworks (., ISO 27001, NIST)Salary: £65,000 If you're passionate about security, have a deep understanding of infrastructure, and enjoy working on complex security challenges, I want to hear from you.
