Role: SOC Security Analyst

Skills: Network protocols, security technologies, and tools i.e. SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, firewalls & vulnerability scanners. SOC monitoring, reviewing, remediating logs/incident. Microsoft Azure and Cloud 365 configuration, monitoring and security practices.

Location: Kingston upon Thames

£40,000 - Part-time (22.5hrs p/week) - Hybrid (1 day p/week)

• Must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years
• Can't have the left the country for more than a month at a time in the last 5 years
• Clean criminal record

We are looking for a SOC Security Analyst who has experience with Security technologies & tools, network protocols, Azure & Cloud 365, SOC incident response and Security GRC i.e. NIST, ISO 27001, on a part-time permanent basis, based on your level of experience salaries are ranging up to £40,000 per annum.

The company are based near Kingston upon Thames and although this is a remote first role, it’s likely you would be in the office more often over the first few weeks and months, so ideally, we are looking for someone who can easily get to the office. The salary for this role is up to £40,000.

This is a new position within the business where you would be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, investigating and responding to security events, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security procedures, conducting penetration tests in collaboration with 3rd parties to identify vulnerabilities in the security infrastructure and configuring and managing security tools and systems such as SIEM, firewalls and IDS/IPS.

Skills and Experience Required

• Past experience as SOC Analyst or similar role
• MS Azure Qualification (Desirable)
• Eligible for NVPP3 SC Clearance
• Excellent communication skills
• BSc in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field or Cybersecurity certification
• Strong understanding of Azure and Cloud 365 services, including configuration, monitoring, and security best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and security technologies & tools
• Familiarity with security GRC i.e. NIST, ISO 27001
