Semiconductor Process Engineer / Santa Barbara, CA for Lockheed Martin
Job Description: Description:The semiconductor process engineer is responsible for sustaining/supporting equipment and Focal Plane Array process areas including but not limited to photolithography, wet/dry etching, thin film deposition, thinning, and dicing. This person will work with development and integration engineers to adapt new processes and techniques into the manufacturing line as required. Data driven analysis will be required to assess the efficacy of continuous improvement activities for the purposes of implementation. Job Requirements: Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree. The position requires advanced knowledge of semiconductor device processing including photolithography, thin film deposition, wet and dry etching, and substrate thinning. General understanding of semiconductor device theory is required. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), familiar with DOE analysis, and have excellent engineering documentation skills and communication skills. Facility requires special access so must be a U.S. CitizenDesired Skills:Advanced degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics or Bachelors degree with 3+ years of industry experience. Experience with automated semiconductor processing equipment for processes such as: chip packaging, 3D processing, automated optical inspection, photolithography, wet etching, dry etching, lift-off, thin film deposition, dicing, & electroplating.Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams on projects of moderate complexity. Ability to interface effectively from the technician level to senior management. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and data analysis software such as MATLAB or JMP is a plus.
