Our client, a global cloud-services and systems integrator is looking for a Senior Android Architect, who is responsible for architecting and designing advanced applications for the Android platform. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading technical project implementations, and optimizing applications for performance and scalability. The Senior Android Developer will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, conduct code reviews, and stay updated with the latest trends in Android development. Feature Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Project Leadership: Lead the technical implementation of projects, ensuring high quality and adherence to best practices. Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Code Quality: Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and performance. Optimization: Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Android development. Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in Android development with a proven track record of delivering successful consumer-facing applications. Programming Languages: Expert knowledge of Java and Kotlin. Architecture Components: Strong understanding of Android architecture components like MVVM, LiveData, Room, etc. API Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON to connect Android applications to back-end services. Development Tools: Proficient in using development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, etc. UI Design: Solid understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Technical Skills: Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Hybrid Frameworks: Experience with hybrid frameworks like React Native or Flutter. CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Community Involvement: Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the Android community.
