Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBSA LifeStructures is searching for a Senior Architect that wants to join a firm that specializes in creating places that support, enhance and inspire healing, learning and discovery. This role will develop and oversee design ideas, architectural documentation, and the executable delivery of projects in our markets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with all project team members/disciplines
- Lead architectural design and planning process on all projects, including complex projects. Ensure client engagement through all processes and tools.
- Leadership of architectural design & documentation throughout all phases of the work.
- Work with Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to develop and maintain a successful, executable workplan through the life of the project.
- Oversee the development and presentation of design ideas, planning concepts, architectural development and detailing to clients during development of design.
- Responsible for final detailing, materials selections, & specifications and overall guidance on architectural objectives and concepts.
- Provide oversight / leadership (in a resource / supporting role) on the delivery of other project team’s assigned projects on a wide range of activities.
- Execute design intent with respect to overall project scope, schedule, and budget
- Complete and accurate project coordination between all disciplines, design, and executable components including outside consultants.
- Coordinate construction administration efforts
- Responsible for primary oversight on all construction administration activities and/or oversight of assigned full-time construction administration team members on varies sized projects.
- Oversee delivery of fully coordinated, quality design documents
- Support, oversee, and evaluate work of architectural team. Be a resource to other disciplines in a similar capacity.
- Coordination of design document preparation across all disciplines.
- Mentor staff
- Teach, guide, support and develop the work of architectural team members.
- Be a resource for the design and technical delivery of all aspects of our project work.
- Utilize personal expertise in specialty areas to develop the next of expertise across the firm.
- Guide the delivery decisions of architectural staff to deliver high quality solutions that meet our client’s challenges.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pursue additional certifications supporting development of expertise (E.G. lean delivery certifications, project management certifications, sustainability certifications, Technical certifications).
- Continually increase technical knowledge of materials, products, and detailing.
- Reads publications, attends presentations, and consults with various project personnel to establish design concepts.
- Promote company’s reputation through good client relations.
- Continue education through seminars and participation in professional organizations.
- Mentoring and/or sharing architectural knowledge and expertise with others in the firm.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

- Architecture: Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam; Graphic Software: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Accredited Bachelors or Master’s Degree
- Professional Licensure in Architecture. NCARB certificate is .
- 12-15 years related experience and proven expertise specific to healing, learning, and/or discovery market sectors .
- Experience on larger projects, with more oversight of the project scope, is .
