Job Description
Client is seeking an experienced Senior Architect with 15yrs+ of experience in commercial architecture. The candidate should be self-motivated, proficient at inter-office collaboration and passionate about mentoring. The firm is non-hierarchical and thus the entire staff does production work. Collaboration, management and production are main parts of this role. Even though most of the work is done remotely, we do require some in-person presence as needed for any given project.

Client has a strong presence in the biotech industry in the Bay Area. We specialize in office tenant improvements, biotech labs, health care and semiconductor / high-tech projects ranging up to 250,000 square feet. CAC has implemented a full-time work-from-home policy but will not rule out returning to the office part-time and then full-time in a few years.

Job Responsibilities
- Directly work with the principal of the firm to develop high-quality designs, drawings and documents during all phases of projects
- Managing small teams and putting together architectural drawings and documents required for all phases of a project, including production
- Oversee and facilitate each project from beginning to end
- Taking the time to supervise and educate junior architects that may more direction
- Effectively communicate with the client, city officials, and team members
- Attend in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 15 years+ of commercial project experience (residential experience need not apply).
- Strong design skills and willingness to help team members (a must!)
- Proficient presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with the client and the team
- Self-motivated to efficiently work on multiple projects
- Good knowledge in state, local building codes and accessibility requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD & Revit
Having expertise in our specific project types, while desirable, is not a requirement. With a positive attitude and a dedication to quality work the staff will collectively teach you our project types.
