Role Description:

Oak Street Health is seeking a Senior Associate, Construction Project Management, to support our expansion plans. The candidate will manage the design and construction of new Oak Street Health Centers nationally and support the Construction Department and Senior Director of Real Estate by assisting with reporting, project control standardization, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, capable of managing multiple projects at once, and familiar with the construction process. The role will be responsible for overseeing project schedules and budgets, managing stakeholder expectations, and supervising outside vendors, including architects and contractors.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support due diligence by summarizing base building conditions for potential/new locations and coordinate the existing condition investigations

  • Manage the conceptual design for new centers, including reviewing layouts to ensure they reflect the organizationâs priorities and standards; managing internal stakeholder design reviews; communicating and incorporating feedback; and managing architectural consultants to ensure schedule compliance

  • Manage the design of new centers to ensure the scope is in accordance with the project budget and reflects Oak Street Health design standards

  • Evaluate contractor bids to ensure they align with the intended scope, identify opportunities for cost savings, and confirm they are in accordance with the project budget

  • Understand municipality permit process and schedules. Establish relationships, when needed to facilitate reviews and approvals

  • Manage general contractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule

  • Manage vendors, including contractors, architects, and suppliers

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operations

  • Report project status updates to internal stakeholders and company leaders

  • Create and manage project schedules and budgets

  • Support the Construction Department through process improvement efforts and reporting

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelorâs degree in Architectural or Construction related discipline preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in the design and construction industry

  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to identify potential project delays and quickly provide solutions

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Ability to lead meetings and coordinate project team members

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

  • Have strong project management experience

  • US work authorization
