A small yet well-known security and gate maintenance specialist is seeking to expand its leadership team. Initially, the role will be for a Senior Engineer but will swiftly progress into a Head of Automation position. With the company's rapid growth, this opportunity offers exciting career progression and development prospects.



The package includes a starting basic salary of up to £58,000, door-to-door pay, premium overtime rates, a company vehicle, and more. This role is perfect for a hands-on engineer looking to transition into a managerial position within a growing company. The initial focus will be on revitalising and expanding the automation division, with a transition towards more strategic and managerial responsibilities as the division grows.



The successful Senior Engineer will be responsible for:



Work hands-on with our Automation team to elevate the division's standards and capabilities.

Manage a small team of Engineer and subcontractors involved in the automation projects to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.

Collaborate with the Security Team to integrate automation solutions with access control, door entry, and CCTV systems.

Work closely with the Office Team to design and quote remedial and upgrade solutions for both new and existing installations.

Assist in recruiting and training new engineering staff as the division expands.

Transition to a more managerial role, overseeing technical management and supporting less experienced engineers.

Work closely with operations manager and Directors on conducting surveys and managing various automation projects.

Installing, servicing, and maintaining automatic gates, barriers, manual gates, and turnstiles.

Installing, servicing, and maintaining, intercoms, access control systems, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems.

Occasionally working on swing and sliding door systems, manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, and Record UK.

Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.

Electrical wiring.

Adhering to industry standards such as Gate Safe, DHF, and EN 16005.The successful Senior Engineer will have:



Experience working on vehicle gates, automatic door operators, and roller shutters.

Experience working on security systems, CCTV systems, and Access Control Systems.

Excellent project management skills

Experience managing Engineers and sub contractors

Experience working on cloud-based access control systems

Good electrical wiring and fault finding skills

A valid EN 16005 certificate.

A Gate-Safe or DHF Diploma.

A clean driving licence.

A CSCS Card or ECS Card.
