The rapid transformation and new market environment have fostered a new way of thinking within the battery value chain which is challenging our current ways of working in both the internal and external ecosystem. As responsible for battery cells partnerships, you will have a strategic role in the battery purchasing team and be at the heart of the transformation journey in an innovative and highly strategic area. What will you work with as the Senior Buyer for Battery Cell Partnerships? You will, as a key member of the battery purchasing team develop and implement the strategy for battery cells in strong collaboration with the global buyer network as well as the cross functional colleagues and the headquarter functions. That means e.g.: Lead the implementation and negotiation of new partnerships in the battery cell ecosystem in strong collaboration with the global purchasing team Build and maintain the expertise and strategic understanding of different business models in the battery cells supply chain: e.g., identifying micro and macro trends, market development and benchmark, impact on total cost of ownership, sustainability etc. Define and enable activities required to excel the competitive advantage for battery cells in the full QDCF-TSR (quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability & risk) Enable the way of working in the full ecosystem, including upstream and downstream supply chain, to enable the Volvo Group strategy Ensure strong and efficient collaboration with a large internal network and work in close collaboration with the cross functional colleagues as well as the headquarter functions, such as corporate finance and corporate legal Work in accordance with Volvo Group’s defined Values (Customer Success, Trust, Passion, Change, Performance) This is us You will join a passionate team, creating business value in an open and multicultural, dynamic environment with highly innovative products.
