Senior Chemical Engineer - Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify enhancements to quality, reliability, cycle time, cost reduction, and yield.
- Assist with the design, construction and start-up of new or improved production equipment.
- Lead the implementation of small capital projects related to process improvement.
- Partner with R&D to roll out product scale up and new product information in the manufacturing units.
- Support manufacturing to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Investigate production quality issues to identify root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Work closely with manufacturing to develop, coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
- Promote and nurture a positive and safe culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience as an engineer; preferably with a background in production/process area of chemical products
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Familiar with the following large-scale batch processing:
- Esterification reactions
- Neutralization
- Washing
- Distillation
- Steam Stripping
- Filtration
- Pastillation
- Experience in Rockwell Automation or similar PLC experience
- Experience with continuous improvement
- Experience in Process Safety Management
- Six Sigma training
