Experienced Civil Engineer Land Development & Infrastructure

About the Role:
We are seeking an Experienced Civil Engineer to lead project teams, manage client relationships, and oversee civil engineering projects in land development and infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects from concept to completion while ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in land development, grading, site planning, and transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead land development projects, including site planning, grading, drainage, and utility design.
  • Oversee stormwater management studies, hydrology calculations, and erosion control measures.
  • Serve as the client liaison, ensuring project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, CAD designers, and technical staff.
  • Coordinate with survey, engineering, and administrative teams to streamline project execution.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, technical studies, and construction plans.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist with staff hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and refine department policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Support business development efforts, including attending industry events and client meetings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
  • 5+ years of experience in land development, grading, site plans, or transportation projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software.
  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
  • California driver's license required for site visits.
