Senior Civil Engineer – Drainage Infrastructure (Cardiff)

Looking for an opportunity to lead and make an impact? A dynamic engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to help shape and drive its Drainage Infrastructure team in Cardiff.

What’s the Role?

You’ll play a key role in delivering civil engineering designs for diverse and challenging projects across the infrastructure sector, focusing on Sustainable Urban Drainage (SuDS) and surface water drainage design. Working alongside an Associate Director, you’ll lead a talented team, tackle complex engineering challenges, and contribute to projects that shape the future of urban infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years’ experience in surface & foul water design/construction (Sewers for Adoption, DMRB)

Degree in Civil Engineering (preferably a Master’s)

Chartered or near Chartered with ICE or CIWEM

Proficiency in MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Autodesk ICM

Experience with Water Authority approvals (S104, S106) & SuDS approval

Knowledge of planning policy & flood risk management

Ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects & liaise with key stakeholders
