My client in the Leicester area is currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer due to expansion.\n\nOverview:\nWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and delivering projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and retirement/care schemes. The role will involve close collaboration with developers, architects, and local authorities, with a focus on drainage, highways, and external works.

If you are an ambitious engineer looking for a challenging role with opportunities for professional growth, we would love to hear from you.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Work within a Civil Engineering design team, focusing on drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes.\n\n * Manage design resources for Drainage Systems in accordance with standards such as Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations, and the SuDS Manual.\n\n * Lead and manage the design of on-site and off-site highways, adhering to industry standards (Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets).\n\n * Prepare proposals and manage project budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.\n\n * Oversee junior team members, reviewing their designs, reports, and drawings.\n\n * Attend client meetings and site visits, ensuring clear communication and the successful implementation of projects.\n\n * Provide mentoring and support to junior staff members, contributing to their professional development.\n\n * Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS) through accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.\n\nSkills & Experience Required:\n\n * Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or working towards it, with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).\n\n * Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.\n\n * Minimum of 5 years’ consultancy experience in civil engineering, working with local authorities, developers, and architects.\n\n * Proven experience in managing civil engineering projects, including drainage, external works, and highways elements.\n\n * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Site 3D, or equivalent 3D software; knowledge of other engineering software is advantageous.\n\n * Strong project management skills, with experience handling projects through the planning process (pre-app to condition discharge).\n\n * Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and commercial frameworks.\n\n * Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Competitive salary and annual bonus scheme.\n\n * Private healthcare coverage.\n\n * Annual appraisal and salary review.\n\n * Auto-enrolment in the company pension scheme with 5% employer contribution.\n\n * 24 days of annual leave plus your birthday off.\n\n * Employee Assistance Programme.\n\n * Cycle to Work Scheme.\n\n * Salary Sacrifice Scheme for holiday purchase/sale.\n\n * Active social and charitable events calendar.\n\n * Supportive and friendly team environment with opportunities for professional development.\n\nLocation: Leicester\n\nSalary: DOE\n\nPlease respond with an up to date CV to be considered.\n\nKind Regards,\n\nWill Harris – Recruitment Consultant
