Senior Civil Estimator | AU Morning Shift

Summary We are looking for a skilled Senior Civil Estimator responsible for preparing accurate quotes and tenders for civil excavation and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of civil engineering, cost estimation, and risk management. They will collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate quotes for civil excavation projects in a timely manner. Prepare comprehensive tenders for infrastructure construction and upgrade projects. Read, interpret, and understand plans to generate precise Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Source and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing. Evaluate risks and opportunities associated with each project. Liaise with the site team and Project Manager to ensure a clear understanding of the Scope of Work (SOW). Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate project delivery. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, cost factors, and relevant legislation. Work effectively in a team environment while managing your own workflow. Requirements Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required. 5+ years of experience in civil estimating for earthworks or infrastructure projects. Proven experience in civil estimating for earthworks (within Australia) Engineering degree or Tertiary qualification required Proficiency in estimating software (Mudshark, Estimate One, Cubit, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, pricing, and industry standards to provide accurate estimates. Knowledge of local regulations and standards in the civil industry.
