So, ask us about some of our recent pledges for Women's Equality and being a 'Disability Confident' and 'Inclusive Employer’.SENIOR COMMERCIAL MANAGER FOR LYRIC PROJECT The Project:AtkinsRéalis is providing construction stage Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and Contract Administration Services to the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority for the Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement ProjectWe are looking for applications from individuals to join the PMC team who are keen to play an integral role in delivering a world class cultural venue in the heart of Hong Kong, as described below.The Role:You will be based full-time in the Project Site Office and report directly to the Contract Administrator’s Representative and the Client. You will be responsible for all aspects of Contract Administration for the construction of the Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement works, in accordance with the Authority’s procedures.You should be able to independently assess Contractor’s time and cost claims and prepare related correspondence to the Contractor.The role will also involve the preparation and presentation of papers for the Client to obtain necessary financial and time related approvals.You will prepare financial reports and claims assessments, which can be readily issued to the Client.You also will be responsible for assisting the Client in managing their Independent QS Consultant.You will also be supported by a site-based QS team.You will deal directly with the Main Contactor’s Project and Commercial Directors.You should be able to present confidently and clearly to the Client and Contractor on contractual and commercial issues.You will also need to chair meetings with the Client and Contractor where required.Qualifications / Experience:A recognized university Degree ideally in Quantity Surveying, or alternatively Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or Architecture or Project Management.A Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Civil / Structural Engineer or Project Manager.Commercial and claims experience on the construction of major building projects is essential, either with a client, consultant or a major contractor.Detailed knowledge of the delivery of major building projects and preferably some experience of theatre or cultural venues.Preferably prior experience as a Senior Commercial Director or Manager. Team / people management skills and experience and an ability to establish, maintain and develop working relationships in culturally diverse teams.Direct experience with time and cost related claims assessment and ideally dispute resolution.Experience with commercial risk identification, assessment, and management.Be a confident, resourceful, articulate and clear communicator and able to influence others.Fluent in Chinese and English, both written and spoken.A minimum of 15 years’ relevant post-qualification experienceWhy work for AtkinsRéalis?We at AtkinsRéalis are committed to developing its people both personally and professionally.
