Your responsibilities Commercial project lead to implement large scale carbon capture plants at industrial sites / industrial power plants across Europe (post combustion carbon capture larger 100 kt/a capture capacity) Contract and claim management (mainly EPC and engineering contracts) including setting up the commercial specification, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and finalization of the contracts, supported by legal and technical specialists along the complete development and implementation phase of a CCU/S project Dealing (drafting / negotiation) with various standardized international supply contracts and different national laws Being the process link between the project and EON’s central procurement department in Essen and the project management / business Ongoing controlling and reporting of project budgets plus continuous risk management (from the award phase to acceptance) Carrying out the pre-qualification of suppliers and service providers in order to ensure compliance with requirements and standards as well as supplier development Your profile University degree or similar with solid commercial background and profound knowledge of tendering and procurement procedures; detailed know-how of international contract management and legal frameworks Several years of experience in commercial project and contract management for process plant construction, energy industry or related sectors Strong capabilities as purchaser also in challenging and complex working situations Entrepreneurial mindset: ability to work independently, willingness to take initiative and high level of commitment; team-oriented and confident approach to negotiations and communication with suppliers and service providers Ability to enter technical, process engineering areas and specifications as well as legal topics and contract law to understand procurement in a wholistic way (technical / commercial / legal) Written and spoken English and German fluency is essential (at least B2 level); knowledge of other languages is a plus User knowledge of SAP BI and SAP Materials Management as well as very good MS Office skills, especially Excel Availability for short business trips in Europe to meet customers and other stakeholders Your benefits Your benefitsE.ON is united in working on the most exciting issue that our generation needs to solve: climate change!
