Senior Commissioning Engineer
Job Description
Brownlee Cale are recruiting for a Lead Commissioning Engineer for a tier 1 civil engineering civils contractor in Brighton.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Develop and review commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for water supply systems.\n\n * Coordinate with design, construction, and operational teams for smooth commissioning phases.\n\n * Oversee equipment inspections, system testing (e.g., pressure, functional, performance), and FAT/SAT sign-offs.\n\n * Monitor water processes and respond to alarms, faults, and issues.\n\n * Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety procedures.\n\n * Maintain communication with clients, regulators, and project teams, providing progress updates and reports.\n\n * Mentor junior engineers and assist in their development.\n\nRequired Knowledge & Skills:\n\n * Experience in water industry.\n\n * In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., DWI, OFWAT, EA, HSE).\n\n * Ability to manage commissioning tasks, identify risks, and apply appropriate control measures.\n\n * Proficiency in using commissioning tools, equipment, and technology.\n\nThe role requires a focus on health, safety, and environmental practices, with an emphasis on maintaining high-quality commissioning documentation and ensuring smooth project delivery.\n\nIf you would like to discuss the role further please contact Katie Colvin at Brownlee Cale
