The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $92,185 to $115,232
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the administration of compensation programs and practices for specific business units. Primary responsibilities include job evaluations, market analyses, survey participation, compensation recommendations, and may lead or assist with compensation projects or special initiatives. This position will also support performance management, incentive plan and merit administration.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, management, and employees to provide day-to-day compensation support and recommendations.
- Analyze and provide salary recommendations for various employee actions (new hire, promotions, reorganizations). Analysis includes review of external market data, internal organizational structure and equity, and other relevant factors.
- Conduct job evaluations. Job evaluations include comparison of primary duties and minimum qualifications as compared to external market data, regulatory requirements, and internal grade, salary structure, and titling conventions.
- Support compensation administration of annual programs such as performance management, annual incentive, and merit.
- Assist with regulatory compliance, audit requests, union negotiations and rate cases.
- Salary survey participation and market data maintenance
- Adhere to effective internal controls.
- Data reporting and compilation: This position utilizes information from various sources to compile data for analysis to provide various compensation recommendations. The role is responsible for market survey participation and compensation system data updates.
- Compensation Analyses: Completes market analyses, internal equity reviews, and creates summary statistics. Develops new hire or employee compensation recommendations based on analysis.
- Collaboration, Consultation, and HR partnership: Collaborates with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, managers, and employees to solve business problems. Clearly communicate decisions, reasonings, and supporting analyses. Maintains flexibility to consider additional information or perspective from stakeholders that may change initial decisions.
- Administer Compensation processes: Assist with the administration of compensation programs, initiatives, and projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience
- Compensation certification
Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience in job evaluation, market pricing, salary survey participation and annual compensation cycles (performance management, merit, bonus)
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, SAP or other ERP
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of FLSA and other compensation relevant laws and regulatory requirements
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external constituents and experience in interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience handling confidential or sensitive information
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and convey information effectively in verbal, written and electronic communication.
