Senior Data Engineer- SAP HANA

Our client, a global IT consulting firm, is looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to be based on one of their client sites in Dubai. The preferred candidate should Lead the design, deployment, and management of theSAP HANA FSDP platform to ensure optimal performance, scalability, andreliability.Your responsibilities will include:·Develop and implement best practices for thearchitecture, configuration, and maintenance of the SAP HANA FSDP environment.·Ensure the platform is up-to-date with the latestpatches and upgrades.·Monitor platform performance and perform tuning tooptimize efficiency and throughput.·Set up and manage multiple environments(development, QA, production). Implement environment cloning, backups, anddisaster recovery processes.·Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions toensure secure and appropriate access. Implement role-based access control(RBAC) and maintain user access logs.·Ensure platform security by configuring andmonitoring security settings.·Conduct regular security assessments and audits todetect and mitigate vulnerabilities.·Ensure compliance with organizational policies andregulatory requirements.·Perform regular health checks of the Informaticaplatform and address any anomalies.·Utilize monitoring tools to track systemperformance and identify potential issues.·Implement and manage regular backup procedures toensure data protection.Provide day-to-day support for Informaticaenvironments, addressing user queries and issues.·Optimize views, database interactions, and platformconfigurations for better performance.·Analyze system usage trends and plan for futurecapacity needs.·Implement scaling strategies to accommodate growingdata volumes and user demands.·Conduct proactive maintenance activities to preventpotential issues.·Participate in cross-functional meetings andprovide technical insights.·Provide training and support to end-users andjunior team members on platform usage and best practices.·Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, andtraining materials.·Maintain comprehensive documentation of platformconfigurations, procedures, and operations.·Generate and present regular reports on systemperformance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
