Roles and Responsibilities
The Senior Data/Information Architect shall lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture solutions for key strategic initiatives. As the chief data architect, you will leverage your extensive expertise in data architecture, governance, analytics, and management to support the organization's goals and ensure the optimal use of data. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into scalable data models and architectures, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices. You will build and maintain a comprehensive view of enterprise data assets, ensure data quality and security, and define data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and the ability to work across functional teams to deliver enterprise-class solutions.
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of scalable and efficient data/information architecture across various data platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategy, design solutions, and ensure alignment with overall business and IT strategy.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest data quality and data governance standards.
- Define data architecture principles, standards, and frameworks to guide data initiatives across the organization.
- Drive data modernization and transformation efforts, including migration to cloud-based platforms and implementation of modern data analytics tools.
- Partner with application architects and development teams to ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, and performant.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing enterprise data architecture, including data warehouses and analytics and cloud environments (Azure, preferably Google Cloud)
- Proven experience in data modeling, metadata management, and data integration across large, complex organizations.
- Expertise in data management best practices and industry standards, including data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Erwin, Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, etc.
- Deep understanding of relational and non-relational data stores (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale data warehouses and data lakes.
- Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data security and compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to influence across levels of the organization.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, etc.) a plus.
- Familiarity with machine learning and data science principles is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Experience with architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
- Experience with cloud- data platforms and services.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience developing enterprise-level data strategies and roadmaps.
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data catalogs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead large-scale data projects.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
