Senior Design Manager/Design Manager \nPermanent \nCompetitive salary + pension+ healthcare+ Car package \nNorth West Manchester\n\nDo you want to work as a Senior Design Manager on Project delivery? \n\nWould you like to work on large scale £30 million+ projects? \n\nMy client is a regional main construction contractor.

They are involved in large scale design and build projects across the northwest. They deliver a good variety of type of projects within leisure, Industrial & residential. Due to an increase in contract wins they require a Senior Design Manager.

\nThe Senior Design Manager will be working on a large scale £30million+ residential project. They scheme incorporates some heritage refurbishment works within the scheme. \n\nAs a Senior design manager, you will have proven experience working for a large main contractor.

You will have excellent organisation and communication skills. \n\nYou will be an experience design manager, with proven deliver of large-scale design and build projects. \nResponsibilities will include but not be limited to: \n\n • Appraising consultant appointments including costs \n• Auditing and assess design information before and during construction.

\n• Reporting on risk to directors and project team.\n• Mentoring design managers \n • Advising on alternative efficient and compliant design solutions. \n• Advising and agree programmes for information delivery. \n• Attending meetings as and when required.

\n• Attending construction sites to appraise work. \n• Providing technical and design advice and assistance to colleagues and group companies. • Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with board members, key personnel / departments and external clients.

\n\nThe ideal candidate will have excellent technical expertise in the construction of complex building types, as well as having knowledge of current design, planning legislation and compliance issues. It goes without saying that you will have outstanding IT skills including CAD. You will also have excellent communication skills both oral and written and enjoy motivating and influencing people.
