The role will lead World Courier to Best in Class in Operational Execution via a focused team of direct reports and by influencing and guiding the wider matrix network with particular focus on Regional Operational Directors. Lead the development of a data led and process driven culture centered around continuous improvement tools and techniques.This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.Please note that this is a hybrid position - the successful candidate is required to be within commuting distance of a World Courier office location in mainland Europe, UK, Ireland or US states in Eastern timezone. A full list of World Courier locations can be found on our website.Primary Responsibilities & DutiesGlobal OperationsContributes to global operational strategy and builds effective execution plans with the regional representatives.Builds and owns KPIs to show progress of strategy and execution effectiveness across end-to-end operations.Links and reinforces the strategy to day-to-day activities and leads by example in execution.Creates a baseline S&OP program showing Service Line capability throughout the network and bringing in Sales and Finance views to facilitate expansion discussions.Deputises for the VP Operations as and when necessary.Ensures via the Senior Manager of Standards & Compliance that all operational SOPs are always correct and up to date.Ensures via the Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement that all Kaizen and CI activities are completed in alignment to Operational needs and are globally compliant.Creates a roadmap that links regional needs and global execution in operational development that includes Standards and ComplianceBuilds in collaboration with the Communication, Reporting & Projects workstream an operational dashboard that is both comprehensive in coverage but focused in layers to ensure it provides actionable insight to all levels of the businessIn collaboration with the Regional Operational Directors priorities activities to improve both operational performance and create capability for growthLeads all global implementation of technology advancements into operations ensuring the blend between Technology / People and Processes are seamless.Identifies and advises on areas where processes are stretched in either Technology / People or ProcessesEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS)Supports the creation of a EHS culture within Operations.GeneralProvides strategic planning which includes identifying, communicating, and directing critical activities that will improve World Courier Infrastructure in a quality and financial matter. In alignment with the Company's growth and direction, provides strategic guidance and makes key operating recommendations to senior leadership.Drives innovation and continuous improvement across World Courier, by identifying, assessing and onboarding new technologies which support our strategic aims.Ensures the technical related SOPs development and revision process is properly performed in all areas.Estimates budget and lead international projects as facility constructions, expansions, refurbishing and equipment deployment.Comply with World Courier Standard Operating ProceduresCollaborate with other Company departments in order to make reports and gather technical information received in a timely manner.What your background should look like EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Likely to have a minimum of 10 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in a similar role within a regulated industry sector.Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent field of study.Experience in a health care services (supply chain distribution or services) environment preferred.MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:Demonstrated strong leadership, interpersonal & organization skills and change agent abilities.Strong project management skills with demonstrated track records in quality and operational improvements, ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.Structures approaches to resolving complex problems. Has good judgment as to most effective approach to use.
