Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract  

Location: Olen, Belgium (2 Days remote work a week is allowed)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Kintec are currently partnered with a leading multinational materials technology company . They are currently recruiting for Senior E&I Designer to be based in Hoboken, Olen Belgium

CONTEXT OF THE MISSION

Performing an EIA design role to contribute to the completion of projects, under the supervision of the Project Manager. Follow-up on design, planning, and realisation.

Project Environment

Your main task is to participate in a project related to battery technology. Additionally, there are numerous other brownfield projects that need to be engineered in the cobalt and nickel department.

PRIMARY TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Translate client requirements into a technical design for E&I and Automation hardware for industrial projects from

concept to execution phase.

- Ensure that the electrical diagrams are produced correctly by the E&I draftsman.

- Knowledge of EPLAN P8 is an advantage so that minor changes can be made by yourself.

- Create and validate reports. (Cable calculations, ATEX, heat dissipation, SIL, ...)

- Provide advice regarding risk analyzes and ensure that the measures are incorporated into the design.

- Make technical specifications and requests, and check / compare the received quotes.

- Set up the budget for the own discipline.

- Participate in purchasing activities

- Contribute in the creation of the planning and help and guide contractors to the allocation of tasks.

- Oversee the work of internal teams and external partners/contractors:

- Reviews questions / changes.

- Assess the quality of delivered work and check if it meets the design and expectations.

- Monitor the planning and reports deviations.

- Guide the project documentation from work preparation to as-built technical construction file.

- Provide support and advice during execution and startup of the project.

- Work closely with commissioning team.

TECHNICAL PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical direction (Electrical, Automation, Electromechanics).

- Strong Experience with projects in an industrial environment in the field of E&I.

- Very Good knowledge of the applicable regulations and directives and standards related to the discipline E&I (ATEX,

SIL, LVD, EMC, MDR, AREI, ...)

- Software skills:

- CANECO / Eplan P8

- Software for validation of SIL / PL / Exi calculations

- MS Office

- Insights in process- and machine risk analyzes techniques

- Basic knowledge of disciplines chemistry and mechanical.

NON-TECHNICAL PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:

- Proficient in speaking and writing Dutch and English, and basic knowledge of German and French for reporting,

communication, and solving technical questions.

Certification

- VCA is mandatory

Language proficiencies

- fluent in Dutch & English

- French & German basics are a very strong plus
