Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design andapproval of all electrical work on assignedprojects
• Ensure that detail design methods,standards and data used on assigned projects meet theClient’s requirements
• Participate inproject scheduling and project reviewactivities
• Carry out calculations &studies required to finalize electrical equipmentspecifications
• Prepare material requisitionsand technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment on assignedprojects
• Assists the designers for thepreparation of electrical drawings such as SLDs, Protection& Control schematics and layoutdrawings.
• Review vendor’s document toensure equipment vendors provide timely and quality input intodesign packages
• Review all third-partydiscipline design work
• Understand the contractquality management system and ensure these requirements aremet
• Actively communicate with other disciplinesto optimize areas of interface, during the design development,review and check processes
• Proficient in theuse of ETAP, Navisworks, Lighting calculation Software (Dialuxetc.) and MS- OFFICE
• Set up and maintainelectrical databases on assigned projects
• Carryout electrical engineering work as required by the lead electricalengineer in accordance with the agreed projectschedule
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests(FAT’s) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT’s) forelectrical equipment (or equipment with significant electricalcontent) on assigned projects

Desired candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electricalengineering or equivalent from an accredited university with aminimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in theOffshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5)years (preferred) in GCC region
• Must have atleast three (3) years of experience in similar position in a megaOil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing team ofEngineers and designers
• Offshore experience ismust, whilst ADNOC experience is desired
• Fullycoherent in all international codes andstandards
• Excellent command of both spoken andwritten English is required
• Enthusiastic,conscientious and keen to learn / Flexible with a can-doattitude
• Working hands on Experience onSPEL
• Must have working knowledge and experienceof electrical discipline relevant offshore/onshore oil and gasindustry codes, specifications andpractices
• Previous experience of working in theMiddle East would be an advantage
