The Opportunity: Due to the growth and success of our Newcastle office, we are currently searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team, based within our Mining, Infrastructure & Delivery division. Our team provides a range of electrical engineering design and project management services to mining and resources clients around Australia.  This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP’s Mining team. You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities. What you’ll do: Working within a team of engineers to manage and deliver a broad range of mining and infrastructure design projects Project management of electrical projects Supporting the wider resources team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents What we’ll love about you: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering Live or be prepared to move to Newcastle, NSW Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn Ability to collaborate and be a team player Ability to work across various stages of project i.e. feasibility design, concept design, detailed design and construction support Flexible thinker who can be adaptive to varying scale of projects An Electrical Engineer with exceptional proven relevant experience (mining, infrastructure, heavy industrial, water or similar sector Demonstrated design experience in: Industrial Medium Voltage and Low Voltage design Controls and instrumentation design Earthing and lightning studies and design Development of electrical design drawings Working with spreadsheets, PowerCad, PTW, CDEGS Technical review of team member deliverables and squad checks Prepare technical datasheets, specifications and reports Experienced in leading a small EIC design team working with a multidiscipline team and project/design managers on medium sized projects Experienced in communication and liaison with clients What if you could do the kind of work the world needs?
