Senior Electrical Engineer
Overview The Senior Electrical Engineer position is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join the PM Group team out of the quickly growing Benelux area office located out of The Netherlands or Belgium. This role entails working directly with PM Group’s clients and internal teams on complex life sciences projects – project scale will vary. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design processes for complex manufacturing and production facilities. This will encompass ownership and management of electrical deliverables for assigned projects and in compliance with PM Group standards. Our office will be executing cutting-edge projects for Cell & Gene Therapy, MABs, Oligonucleotide, and Fill Finish processes for both local and international clients. Proven project delivery in complex facilities (life sciences / biopharma / cell & gene therapy / pharmaceutical) is required. Responsibilities Leading projects from an electrical perspective as part of a multi-discipline team. Having the ability to coordinate the electrical design within multi-discipline teams. Analyzing complex engineering problems and offering effective solutions. Providing support for fee and capital budget proposals as required. Assembling and managing bid, approval, and construction issue electrical packages in an efficient and lean manner. Monitorinbg electrical engineering staff at junior levels, if required. Checking other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality. undertaking peer reviews. Interacting independently and professionally with clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel. Attending and participating in client and PM Group meetings. Directing and/or participating in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical Engineering Level Senior with minimum 10 years of formal experience in industrial engineering design (Life Science experience preferred) PE License is strongly preferred Proven experience delivering the complete suite of electrical engineering design services including but not limited to: MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, grounding & bonding, hazardous areas and specialist control systems Writing narratives that describe the electrical and special system to include user requirements specification sand sequences of operation Selection of electrical devices for power, lighting, and other special systems Developing single line diagrams that depict electrical power systems for a high level Strong working knowledge of carrying out short circuit calculations, load flow and discrimination studies utilizing proprietary modelling software (Caneco) Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices Commercial awareness with the ability to undertake value engineering activities, implement new technologies and, where they are implemented, provide cost effective solutions for PM Group clients Strong verbal and written communication skills are required in addition to the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents Professional approach and demeanor A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business Good knowledge of Dutch and English Why PM Group?
