Senior Electrical Engineer
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview:Our client is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong design experience who is looking to join a growing company. This candidate can be based in our Lakeland or Nashville offices. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in electrical engineering and project management, with a focus on design/build projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering design on electrical engineering projects.
- Manage and assist with all phases of electrical engineering projects, including design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, reports, design review, and coordination of construction drawings.
- Coordinate with the design team to incorporate design intent into construction documentation and specifications.
- Collaborate with design team and project managers during construction to respond to questions, provide clarifications, visit sites, solve issues, and review submittals and shop drawings.
- Develop strong professional relationships with clients, regulators, and agencies.
- Maintain project document files, including meeting notes, financial information, client correspondence, and project schedule.
- Ensure accuracy of technical documents through Quality Assurance reviews at different phases of the project.
- Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
- Engage in marketing and business development activities, including development of project proposals and providing technical expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Registered Engineer (PE), strongly prefer licensure in the state of Tennessee.
- Ability to obtain professional engineering registration in several states.
- Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience as an electrical engineer.
- Project Management Experience on design/build projects.
- Proficiency in Revit Structure and AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of integrated Construction Documents.
- Demonstrated technical writing ability.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus.
- Ability to use technology to collaborate with team members in other offices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and interact professionally with clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
