We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop electrical plans and specifications for architectural projects throughout North America using our new, groundbreaking software platform, AI for MEP®.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the client, the MEP/FP/IT design teams, and other consultants to ensure the design is consistent with the client’s vision, to identify and resolve areas of conflict, to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design, and to ensure the design schedule is maintained.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls when necessary.
- Become familiar with the codes that are applicable to the project.
- Use AutoCAD and other software to create electrical construction document packages which include plans include: electrical distribution equipment, devices (receptacles, etc.), equipment connections, luminaires, controls, fire alarm initiating devices and notification appliances, all associated circuitry, appropriate schedules and details, one line / riser diagrams, and construction specifications.
- Perform all required calculations to support design decisions, including load calculations, short-circuit calculations, and photometric calculations.
- Coordinate with local utility companies to provide the required utility services to the project.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and manufacturer’s representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
- Provide construction administration (CA) services, including answering requests for information (RFIs).
- Provide mentoring and guidance for colleagues.
What We Are Looking For:
- In possession of an ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis or Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems.
- Five or more years of electrical design experience with an MEP/FP engineering consultant.
- Advanced proficiency with NFPA 70 ( Electrical Code) and NFPA 72 ( Fire Alarm & Signaling Code).
- In possession of Engineer- (EI) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
- In possession of or ability to obtain, Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
- Exceptional communication and organization skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently upon receiving necessary direction and information.
