Senior Electrical Engineer

JobSummary

Reports to the ProjectLead/ Discipline Manager on site.  Oversees reviews& manages and monitors implementation of the constructiondocuments on site. The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee thedesign development and implementation of electrical systems forconstruction projects. This role involves supervising theinstallation and maintenance of electrical systems ensuringcompliance with industry standards and safety regulations andproviding technical guidance to junior engineers andinspectors.

JobDuties

• ProjectManagement: Lead electrical engineering projects from inception tocompletion including planning budgeting andscheduling.
• Design and Development: Reviewdetailed electrical designs schematics and specifications forconstruction projects.
• Supervision: Oversee theinstallation testing and commissioning of electrical systems toensure they meet project requirements and safetystandards.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure allelectrical work complies with relevant codes standards andregulations.
• Technical Support: Providetechnical support and guidance to project teams clients andcontractors.
• Documentation: Prepare and reviewtechnical drawings reports anddocumentation.
• Client Interaction: Maintainpositive relationships with clients addressing their needs andensuring their satisfaction.
• Team Leadership:Mentor and develop junior electrical engineers fostering acollaborative and productive workenvironment.
• Health and Safety: Ensurecompliance with the companys Health Safety & Environment(HSE)policies.

SpecificSkills Required

• Siteexperience in basic design requirements estimation installation andall site activities related to all Electrical works forconstruction of largescale buildingprojects.

• Familiar withall the Electrical Engineering methodologies as well as thecorresponding equipment materials consumables tools and manpowerallocations related to Electrical works for buildingprojects.
• Well versed in interpreting andexecuting Electrical related drawings.
• Have theknowledge of the related authoritiesrequirements
• HighRise Residential andCommercial buildings experience required with strong background instartup execution and handover of majorprojects.

PersonSpecification (BehavioralAttributes)

• Good teamplayer with high energy levels.  Able to supervise a teamof engineers and inspectors efficiently andcompetently

Qualifications:

Qualification

• BachelorDegree in Electrical  or equivalent  Plus anadvanced post Graduate Degree and membership of a recognizedinstitution ( i.e. PE/Peng CEng Etc.) would be preferred. LEED GAor AP certifications would be a plus for MEPdiscipline

Experience

• Minimum15years demonstrable experience in the design and all aspects ofsupervision and project administration of the electrical worksrelated to largescale projects within Middle East in the consultingindustry
