Your impact We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Generation Energy team based in Sydney. In this role, you'll provide specialised technical consultancy, advisory and engineering services across the Asia Pacific region, developing Jacobs’ capability and reputation across a range of renewable energy and transition projects including Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Gas Turbine based projects. Furthermore, this exciting opportunity will include Engineering and Project/Design Management duties. Key Responsibilities: Deliver power generation designs, studies, reports and drawings, covering both development (concept engineering) and delivery roles (Owners Engineer during design, construction and commissioning) Complete reviews of detailed designs (reports and drawings) within governance framework Report writing, with a high level of proficiency in Word/Excel and English Facilitate meetings, engage with clients, and commercial discussions Scope and price-up work from a request for proposal (within governance framework) Deliver work (studies, reports, designs) to budget and timelines Office based work, with site visits for construction inspections, FAT, and QA. Provide specialist technical input to design and studies in your area of expertise Function in a multi disciplinary team with civil, mechanical, I&C, environmental engineers and draftspersons Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Here's what you'll need Degree in Electrical Engineering accepted by Engineers Australia (CPEng or in progress) 10+ years experience in the electricity generation sector, including 5 years in Australia Design or construction or O&M or consulting experience Wind or PV or BESS or rotating plant experience Experience in grid connection process (R0) or plant commissioning (R2) Experience in PowerFactory/CYMCAP (preferred) Detailed knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. AS/NZS 3000/3008) and industry practices Jacobs.
