Senior Electrical Engineer, Substations
Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer, Substations. Reporting to the Stations Electrical Engineering Manager, this position is located in our Calgary, AB or Vancouver, office. This role involves the design of high voltage substation projects from conception to construction. Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized university along with a Canadian Professional Engineering Designation ( or the ability to register as a Professional Engineer with EGBC North American power utility design experience is considered an asset Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is considered an asset 8-12 years of substation electrical experience in a Transmission & Distribution Utility or EPC organization designing substations Experience interfacing design with other substation engineering disciplines such as structural and protection & control Proven field experience with outage planning, construction sequencing, and commissioning is considered an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of regulatory codes and standards, including CSA, NESC, and ANSI / IEEE undefined
