Purpose
The Czinger 21C is a groundbreaking 3D printed hybrid hypercar with a combined powertrain output of over 1250BHP. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Design Engineer to join the electrical engineering department to play an instrumental role in the design and development of the vehicle electrical system, from concept through to production release.
The Role
- Work cross-functionally to develop the vehicle electrical installation requirements for both the LV and HV systems.
- Electrical hardware installation design. Identify suitable hardware placement in the vehicle, designing mounting features, brackets, and anti-vibration solutions.
- 3D wire harness routing; including modelling of connectors, back shells, and other wiring harness components.
- Creation of 2D harness manufacturing drawings.
- Specify electrical hardware to meet the vehicle system requirements and automotive regulations.
- Evaluate electrical components to confirm they meet the defined requirements and specifications.
- Lead design reviews for electrical installation and wiring harness design activities.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical Installation issues that could arise from development and protype electrical installations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- 4+ years of experience working in automotive, motorsport, or aerospace environment.
- Experience in the development of automotive electrical systems through concept, prototype, testing, and pre-production.
- Experience in vehicle component design release.
- Experience in diagnosing electrical issues that could arise from development and prototype electrical installations.
- Extensive wiring harness design in CAD, including 3D routing and 2D harness manufacturing drawings.
- Extensive knowledge of OEM / Motorsport electrical wiring systems and the associated wiring standards.
- Extensive Electro-mechanical design experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical component design for additive manufacturing.
- Knowledge of the latest HV hybrid systems (800v).
- DFMEA experience.
- Understanding of functional safety.
- Understanding of automotive V-cycle process.
- Experience of dealing with a network of external suppliers.
- Experience working in a high energy team environment and delivering a program to aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to write technical specification requirements.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to read and process test data.
- Possess good time management and self-motivated.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Candidate should be comfortable bending, reaching, lifting, and remaining sitting or standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Extensive wiring harness design in CAD, including 3D routing and 2D harness manufacturing drawings using NX.
- Understanding of functional safety, specifically ISO262626.
